Using Your Health Insurance for Chiropractic Care at MH Chiropractic
At MH Chiropractic, we’re committed to making high-quality care as accessible as possible. If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim back some or all of the cost of your chiropractic treatment with us.
We can now welcome patients covered by providers such as AXA Health, WPA, and Vitality, as well as those with health cash plans that include chiropractic care.
What does this mean for you?
Depending on your policy, your insurance may contribute towards the cost of your treatment, helping you access the care you need with less financial stress.
How does it work?
The process can vary slightly depending on your insurer, but it typically follows these steps:
Check your policy: Make sure chiropractic care is included in your cover.
Referral requirements: Some insurers may require a GP or specialist referral before starting treatment, while others do not.
Contact your insurer: Let them know you’re planning to start chiropractic care. They may provide an authorisation or claim number.
Book your appointment: You can book with us as normal and provide any relevant details if required.
Pay and claim: In most cases, you’ll pay for your appointment and then claim the cost back from your insurer. Some health cash plans allow you to claim without pre-authorisation.
A quick note on the cover
Every insurance policy is different. The level of cover, number of sessions allowed, and whether pre-authorisation is needed will depend on your individual plan. If you're unsure, it’s always best to check directly with your provider before starting care.
